Mineral Notes: The name of the mineral means "to leaf apart" in Greek. It was given because crystals tend to peel or flake apart when heated due to the loss of water.

Description: A cluster of fused Apophyllite crystals upon which sits a single outstanding large crystal. This has a square cross-section and a highly complex pyramidal termination. At its side sits a smaller crystal, with another type of unusual truncated termination.

Location: Aurangabad, India.
