Mineral Notes: The name of the mineral means "to leaf apart" in Greek. It was given because crystals tend to peel or flake apart when heated due to the loss of water.

Description: A specimen dominated by a large twinned crystal of Apophyllite. The terminations are very sharp. The faces show several growth zones and have a very prononced pearly luster.
