Mineral Notes: Fluorite is found in a wide range of geologic environments, ranging from inclusions in granite to replacement deposits in limestones. It is one of the most commonly collected minerals because of the beauty of its specimens.
Description: A single crystal of purple Fluorite. All sides have good sharp edges. The crystal shows some transparency allowing the interior to be seen. A couple of the faces show small penetration twins. Very strongly fluorescent under UV light.
