Mineral Notes: Dravite is a relatively rare Tourmaline mineral found in metamorphosed limestones or mafic igneous rocks with metasomatically introduced boron. The mineral forms two series, one with Schorl, the other with Elbaite.
Description: A nice, elongated, sharply-terminated Dravite crystal with excellent shiny yellow faces. Tha matrix is white Quartz, which provides a very good contrast for the Tourmaline. A lovely display specimen.
