Mineral Notes: Quartz is a widely found rock-building mineral found in many shapes and forms. It is one of the most commonly used materials by people, having uses in glass manufacture, electronic equipment, jewellery, decoration and in ancient days for producing sparks to start fires.
Description: An interesting cluster of colourless Quartz. All of the crystals show mutliple terminations, giving rise to an effect resembling teeth. Thus each crystal has a number of ridges and hollows. All the terminations are undamaged and sharp. One side of the largest crystal has a deposit of shiny Chalcopyrite.
Location: Da Ye Mine, Hubei, China.
