Mineral Class: Halide
Mineral Notes: Fluorite is found in a wide range of geologic environments, ranging from inclusions in granite to replacement deposits in limestones. It is one of the most commonly collected minerals because of the beauty of its specimens.
Description: A striking cluster of large lavender Fluorite cubes. The largest crystal is 4.5cm across and very pronounced stepped growth zones can be seen. Interestingly, the base of the specimen transitions from lavender to a pale green colour. The Fluorite is intensely fluorescent under LW UV light.
