Mineral Notes: Galena is one of the most abundant and widely distributed sulfides. It is the main ore of lead and frequently contains valuable amounts of Silver and occasionally Zinc.
Description: A rather unusual crystal of Galena showing several growth zones and feather-like surface stiations. The mineral has a strong metallic luster and a nice colour contrast is provided by white Quartz adhering to one side of the specimen.
