Mineral Notes: Stilbite is a common zeolite whose crystals tend to clump together into forms resembling wheat sheafs. Whether in this form or not, Stilbite is an aesthetic mineral with its clean pearly luster and colourful pink and rosy tints.
Description: An excellent specimen showing the characteristic sheaf-like habit. Close inspection shows this formation to be made up of numerous overlapping and diverging crystals. Amongst the Stilbite are small, angular crystals of white Calcite and some Apophyllite. A very rich display specimen from a classic location.
