Mineral Notes: Duftite is an oxidation product of weathered primary lead and copper ore deposits. It is a memeber of the Adelite group. The mineral is named after G. Duft, General Manager of the mine at Tsumeb, Namibia.
Description: Small, yellow-green crystals of Duftite covering the faces of underlying crystals of rhombohedral Calcite. Both the Duftite and Calcite present a strong luster making this an attractive display specimen.
Location: Tsumeb, Otavi, Namibia (Type Location).
