Mineral Notes: Fluorite is found in a wide range of geologic environments, ranging from inclusions in granite to replacement deposits in limestones. It is one of the most commonly collected minerals because of the beauty of its specimens. 

Description: Around a hundred bottle-green crystals of Fluorite on a grey limestone matrix. There is considerable twinning and most crystals are partially transparent. Very strong blue fluorescence under LW-UV light.

Location: Eastgate Quarry, Weardale, Co. Durham, England.
