Mineral Notes: Rock crystal is the name given to clear colourless Quartz, usually large crystals. Rock crystal often has inclusions of other minerals and these inclusions sometimes produce beautiful varieties.
Description: A pair of elongated columnar crystals topped by multifaced pyramidal terminations. The base is surrounded smaller needle-like crystals. All show excellent transparency and most crystals show very few internal flaws or inclusions. All the crystals grow from a base of massive quartz. Together they give rise to a very aesthetic display group.
