Mineral Notes: Fluorite is found in a wide range of geologic environments, ranging from inclusions in granite to replacement deposits in limestones. It is one of the most commonly collected minerals because of the beauty of its specimens.
Description: Intergrown crystals of dark-purple Fluorite. The crystals are well-formed cubes with sharp edges and terminations. The mineral has a very strong glassy luster and many crystal edges show partial transparency. The specimen is strongly fluorescent under LW UV light and in daylight.
