Mineral Notes: Bayldonite is a rare secondary mineral occurring in the oxidized zone of some polymetallic deposits. It is named after John Bayldon, English physician who collected the original specimens.
Description: Botryoidal clusters of Bayldonite on yellow-brown Quartz matrix. The mineral has a very pronounced resinous luster. Magnification shows individual crystals as small radiating fibers.
