Mineral Notes: Fluorite is found in a wide range of geologic environments, ranging from inclusions in granite to replacement deposits in limestones. It is one of the most commonly collected minerals because of the beauty of its specimens.
Description: Optical quality transparent Fluorite twin crystal on matrix. The clarity is very good. The remaining surface of the matrix is covered by smaller cubes. Most of these are twinned and in some cases the twinning can be followed into the interior of each crystal pair. Nealry all show similar clarity, in many cases showing the matrix beneath.
