Quartz, SiO2 (Silicon Dioxide), is a widely found rock-building material found in many shapes and forms. It is one of the most commonly used materials by people, having uses in glass manufacture, electronic equipment, jewelry, decoration and in ancient times for producing sparks to start fires.
Description: A long thin piece of Hematite matrix upon which sits a deposit of milky Quartz. The crystals are very well formed, almost all showing a prismatic habit. The Quartz is very reflective and lustrous indicating lack of inclusions on the surface.
