Fluorite, CaF2 (Calcium Fluoride), is found in a wide range of geologic environments, ranging from inclusions in granite to replacement deposits in limestones. It is one of the most commonly collected minerals because of the beauty of its specimens, especially the well-formed cubic crystals.
Description: A heavy crystalline Quartz and Calcite matrix on which sit a number of cubic Fluorite crystals. The colour is deep purple with good clarity. The largest crystal is tripple zoned and contains a tiny bubble which adds to the unusual and aesthetic appeal.
